“Because of eciGroup’s support, the Dillsburg Arts Council has been able to provide several programs for the Dillsburg area.

Our biggest project is the Artist Residency which provides for a 21 class period of instruction for ALL the 3rd graders in the NYCSD. This program utilizes a specially trained artist, in our case dance, to assist children in coping with bullying, peer pressure, family crisis, etc. and does so thru “hip hop”. The program has been well received by all the staff and administrators and the children refer to it as AIR day.

Other programs that have been made possible thru this participation are the Art Camp, run for one week in July, Arts in the Alley, an interactive experience for children held on August 14th, and programs held at Historic Monaghan Church, home of the Dillsburg Arts Council. Fortunately monies given were matched by the Cultural Alliance of York County and this greatly added to the impact made by eci’s generosity and support. The arts continue to be cut in our educational systems and it is important to provide activities involving various art forms to our children.

eciGroup is also assisting the Arts Council in guidance with maintenance and construction projects at our home location, Historic Monaghan Church, 15 East Church Street, Dillsburg, PA.

We have gotten this location recognized by the Pa. Museum Commission as a Historic location and it is also on the York Heritage Trail listing.”
